Xeester doesn't update or the database doesn't start

If the update doesn't complete when starting Xeester, you may see this screen : 


updater-blocked


If you encounter this problem :

1/ Check that your antivirus doesn't prevent Xeester from starting (please refer to the antivirus list available under "All articles")

2/ If the problem still occurs, perform the following checks :

  • Open folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

  • Open the file named « hosts » (in notepad)

  • Check that the localhost section of this file is as follows :

   - 127.0.0.1 localhost

If not, please disable any line containing a different localhost description.
In order to disable a line, you can add a # sign at the beginning of this line.
